On Friday the 21st of Eyar 5783, the Habayta communities from all over Israel gathered in Jerusalem to celebrate Jerusalem Day. Each community took a tour around the city and visited historical landmarks, and then gathered together in the Great Synagogue.
For this great occasion, many distinguished persons came to greet the Olim – including the Director General of the Ministry of Aliyah and Integration, Mr. Avihai Kahana, the Minister of Heritage, Mr. Amihai Eliyahu, a representative of the JNF and more. They were translated into Spanish, Russian and English.
The Olim were also greeted by the directors of the Habayta organization Mr. Sefi Hoter and Mr. Nathanel Rotenberg.
