A canopy in the Galilee landscape

Nof HaGalil community. We have joy! There was a wedding (while observing and complying with all the instructions of the Ministry of Health) of Eliza and Shlomo Efraimov. Eliza (Liza) immigrated from Ukraine, came to live in Migdal Ha’emek. Shlomo Efraimov from the Caucasus, from Kfar Adom. The romantic meeting, which changed their fate, took place on the sports field. The groom says: “When I saw those eyes in front of me, I realized that I was lost. All my life I dreamed of meeting such an extraordinary girl. But she flatly refused to give her phone number. Luckily, it turned out that we live on the same street. I courted her for a long time. I proposed to her. Finally Liza agreed… For me it was always very important to establish a real Jewish home. And Liza is Jewish on her father’s side. Therefore, when she arrived in Israel, she immediately started studying at “Nativ”, a conversion course. I also participated in the classes, it was very fascinating. We were very Excited on March 8, the eve of the court, but everything went well. Chaya Lena Rochimovich and Ilana Raz, our guides, teachers and tireless assistants, were with us the whole time, supporting us. Our baby Hagit also went through conversion with her mother. Right after the conversion We started preparing for the wedding “according to the law of Moses and Israel”. Then the situation with the corona virus began… halls, synagogues, everything was closed. It is forbidden to gather and invite guests. We were very sad – what should we do… then the mayor of Nof HaGalil suggested holding the canopy In the spacious lobby of the municipality! What’s missing as a hall? The wedding exceeded all expectations. It was magical! Rabbi Noam Shalom Krispil – the singing rabbi, so similar to Rabbi Shlomo Karlibach, performed the marriage ceremony with a guitar. The municipal employees were our guests, all at a distance of 2 meters, as the Ministry of Health requires these days. The mayor greeted us, and the municipal employees were the witnesses. The wedding didn’t cost us a penny. We are very grateful to everyone who helped our happiness and want to bless the entire Jewish people. There is no such nation – both in happy days and in difficult times. Our beloved people, our beloved country and our wonderful community “together”. Thank you for everything!” And we will add – we wish the newlyweds health, love, happiness and a strong family! Mazel Tov! Be happy, my dears!
